Issac

By · November 22nd, 2017

Isaac’s childhood was far from normal being that he watched his parents use drugs with friends on a regular basis. Isaac first tried drugs at the young age of 9. Isaac struggled to have a good relationship with his parents and decided to leave home at the age of 14. Isaac has been homeless on and off since this time.

During the course of being homeless Isaac became addicted to alcohol and methamphetamine and had many run in’s with the law forcing him in and out of jail. While in jail Isaac decided to get clean and enrolled in Alcoholics Anonymous classes. It was here he met the love of his life, however; that didn’t solve all of his problems, Isaac continued to struggle because of his temper. Because of his anger, Isaac could no longer remain in his home.

It was at this time Isaac came to Turlock Gospel Mission and got connected with Robert, one of our case managers. Through counseling, Robert helped Isaac acknowledge his anger and helped him by connecting him to anger management classes and couples counseling.

Today, Isaac is back in a relationship with his girlfriend, found housing, and volunteers at Turlock Gospel Mission because he wants to give back. Because of your faithful partnership we were here for Isaac during his time of need, offering him a hot meal and someone to talk to. Thank you for helping us be here for men and women just like Isaac.
