Jeannie (Update!)

By · January 23rd, 2020

It has been one year since we shared Jeannie’s story and she has another year clean under her belt and continues on the right path! Jeannie’s history is marked with darkness and addiction. She spent time on the streets and 30 years in addiction. When she decided to turn her life around, she came to Turlock Gospel Mission for resources and supportive guidance. Since then, Jeannie has repaired relationships with all 7 of her children. She tells each of them, “In God’s eyes, you are special. Dream big and work hard to make those dreams come true.” She put her trust in God each day to make positive decisions for her future.

Jeannie spends a lot of time on the bus going to appointments, visiting family, and taking care of her responsibilities. She has decided to make this time on the bus fruitful through what she calls “Bus Testimony.” Any time she hops on the bus, she intentionally shares encouragement and hope with those nearby her. Jeannie recognizes “It is a blessing to be able to share my testimony with individuals on the bus and give them a glimpse of what God is doing in my life. It might be their only chance to hear of the type of hope and transformation I have experienced.”

We are celebrating how far Jeannie has come and the hope she now shares with our community!

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20
